Colourful works of art for a good cause
For 18 years, innotec has been inviting customers and business partners to order a gingerbread house kit, give free rein to their creativity as an office team, at home or in the daycare centre and then send in a photo of their masterpiece. For each of these imaginative snapshots, innotec will in turn donate 25 euros to DESWOS.
The gingerbread houses not only make those with a sweet tooth happy, but also symbolise a protective roof over their heads.
Record donations thanks to enthusiastic confectioners
A total of 150 kits were requested in 2024. The result: more hard-working construction teams than ever before. We received 75 entries, all of which had one thing in common: lots of icing! But there was also plenty of ingenuity to marvel at, from the fire brigade tradition to atmospherically illuminated examples, as our gallery shows.
In total, a donation of EUR 1,875 was raised, which will go to the DESWOS Christmas project and thus to three communities in the province of Cabañas in the north of El Salvador, under the motto ‘Water, food and security for vulnerable families’. The aim is to create a new home for 40 families, as their current homes are threatened by natural disasters caused by climate change. In addition, measures are being taken in the areas of disaster prevention, protection and conservation of natural habitats and biodiversity, organic farming and livelihood security as well as education and training in order to improve the overall living situation on the ground.
We would like to thank all participants who have made their sweet contribution to this valuable project and are already looking forward to the next round in Advent 2025!
